You can just buy one of our premium Apple Boxes, packed with our homegrown, juicy Summer Rambo apples, which are popular for making a smooth, flavorful applesauce. Kauffman Orchards is a family-owned small business in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, established back in 1915 with a vision to provide the local community with fresh, nutritious fruit that would enhance the quality of life for the American consumer. The business still follows that goal, raising Nutrient-Dense fruit that has enhanced vitamins, minerals, and flavor, and today, the orchard is managed by the 4th and 5th generations of Kauffmans.Pies and Applesauce – Summer Rambo is an old-fashioned heirloom apple variety with green skin. It is a favorite among the local Amish & Mennonite communities in Lancaster County for making a smooth, delicious applesauce, and it’s also a great fit for apple pies. This Apple Box contains premium, Nutrient-Dense, non-GMO, non-waxed Summer Rambo apples, and each apple has soft, high-density foam surrounding it to ensure protection during shipping. The 8-count box holds approximately 2.5-3 lb. of fresh apples; the 16-count box, approximately 5-6 lb. (about a peck by volume); the 48-count box, approximately 15-18 lb. (about 3/5 bushel). Shipping Information – We pack your Apple Box with fresh apples that are highest quality, and we use shipping methods that provide a quick 2-3 day delivery to most of the lower 48 United States. However, we have no control over distance to your address, nor over handling and temperature during transit. Since apples sometimes ripen quickly in hot temperatures during transit, we suggest that you consider choosing 2-Day or Next-Day delivery during checkout. Refrigerate your apples upon arrival.
